Corporate Concept

Pura Vida Travel is a trademark of ROTH REISEN GmbH and its Costa Rican subsidiary company Pura Vida Ecotravel Ltd.

As a German travel operator we cooperate with a network of associated European partners and travel agencies. We are specialized in (rent a car) roundtrips and are focused on a clear sustainable concept.

Our clients benefit from the know-how and experience of our staff. Ulrich Roth and his wife Evelyn have been visiting Costa Rica since 1981 and fell in love with the country and its people. Christine Dietz, our author, has been living with her family in Costa Rica since 1999 and Iris Merkel, our Head of Reservation, has recently traveled through the country on her own and got very excited about its beauty and charm. Our committed employees offer full on-site support to our clients.

Pura Vida Travel packages include interesting round trips in well chosen, attractive regions comprising our module system.

Many thrilling attractions recommended in our round trips are situated far away from the main tourist streams. Comfort, security and the fact that we want our clients to experience nature and culture as close and authentically as possible play an important role when creating our round trip modules.
Dedication to Sustainability

As a tour operator for individual tourism we have important quality standards as well as a high level of environmental responsibility. Pura Vida Travel has taken action to protect and preserve the resources in Costa Rica. Since mid of the year 2012 all our customer flights (without exception) have been CO2-neutralised. In the same way a CO2-compensation fee is paid automatically for each rental car used by our clients.

Local rainforest protection campaigns and reforestation projects benefit from these carbon offsetting payments. OurPura Vida Travel staff participates actively in ecological and social projects which we consider as a little effort to support education & well-being of the impoverished population.

Efficient organization as well as qualified partners are just as important as the price-performance ratio.

In order to implement our corporate concepts we put great emphasis on developing a close cooperation with our partners. We have to trust the people providing our offered services in the hotels, tour companies, transportation and car rental companies.

Together with our partners we are constantly trying to improve quality and service. Moreover we support one another implementing social, economic and ecological projects. Partnership is a dynamic part of our corporate philosophy and thus increases the unique experiences of our clients.
